Belated Reactions from Sardinia Republican Committee Pancake Breakfast

I'm 2 days late in posting my thoughts about the Sardinia Republican Committee breakfast this weekend - I just thought it was a great time. The pancakes were delicious, the company was pleasant, and I even won a raffle basket (sadly, not my first choice, which was the basket with chocolate).

I hope that future events like this have similarly sunny weather!

  1. Kara - do you know when and how we can find out about the C/S Fire Company vote? The 'official' town of Sardinia website has been given little attention since its creation and that's where I'd hope to see information about the referendums we vote on. Do you know who the webmaster is for the site?

    Congrats on the raffle basket!

  2. I found the webmaster's email address on the erie.gov site: jowseyj@erie.gov.

I saw the vote totals on hometic, but frankly if that site said that the sky is blue, I'd still want to confirm for myself that is wasn't really orange or purple. I would suggest calling the Town Hall and asking for the exact totals.

  3. Just as you doubt Hometic, I doubt your comment on the Pancake Breakfast - heard it was NOT atte4nded very well at all. Maybe that's how you won that basket? Hopefully they made enough $$$$$$ to get out of the hole! Well we'll see how their next disclosure goes.

  4. An unnecessary jab, and I might point out that Kara never in fact said it was or wasn't well attended. To clarify, she said the pancakes were delicious and the company pleasant.

  5. Honestly, how petty and rude some are. I was the one who said the event was well attended, not Kara. And, it was! I was very pleased with the event as a whole. If you were not there, why in the world would you even comment on it? As for making money, I think the committee made a nice amount. I wish you would have attended and contributed to the event as a whole-you might have been suprised at how nicely it was done and how wonderful it was to chat with old friends.

  6. As the pancake breakfast was advertised as a "free" event, any profit that was made was a bonus. That being said, I wouldn't have attended if I couldn't at least chip in a couple of bucks to cover the cost of my meal...
