Did anyone go? And how was it?
ReplyDeleteI had given it serious consideration on going seeing their broke, but when Mike blew up at the TB meeting I gave it second thoughts. I would have liked to at least asked M.Hannon what her thoughts were on the latest Taxpayer Report letter using her almost word for word concern on liabilty at the old town hall renovation work. It gave me the impression she was involved in the letter - but that I can't believe. I certainly will make the pancake breakfast at the firehall in March.
ReplyDeleteWhat most recent taxpayer report are you referring to? I may not have gotten it and that would be a shame. The author's of the taxpayer report should post their previous (and future) editions on the internet somewhere. I've told a bunch of people about them but consistently lose the hard copies and thus am unable to spread the word.
ReplyDeleteI went to the breakfast and it was actually very nice. I was able to see alot of friends and spent time eating and chatting with them. I thought the turnout was great considering the political climate in town (again!!). People seemed willing to come, stay, eat, talk, and eat some more before going. I left around 11:30 and cars were still coming in. All in all, I thought it was very successful and that everyone seemed to have a good time. And, I never had a person speak about any political issues to me once while I was there. I hope they do another get together of this type soon-I'm all for seeing my friends and eating good food.
ReplyDeleteThe taxpayer report was the one mailed just before the fireman's vote - slamming the Supervisor, the firemen, and councilperson's that voted for the vote to take place. The letter was from 'NO ONE' as usual. I find it very hard to believe no politics was talked about, as that was the reason for the pancake breakfast - at least by the flyer. It seems that's where the recruiting for 101 foot electioneering pole attackers came from. Oh well it's history, on to better things in Sardinia. Kara, word out there is your being primed to run for political office - any truth?
